Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly III Football Boots – Volt/Purple/Retro

Not content with releasing the brand new T90's, Nike had decided to vamp up all their boot silo's with new colourways, and the Vapor Superfly has had quite possibly the most dramatic makeover. The new Volt/Purple/Retro colours are certainly eye-catching, and as this is a Superfly we're expecting plenty of reaction...

Few boot ranges could pull off such an outrageous colourway, but if there was one boot that could get away with it then it would be the Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly football boots. One thing all Superfly wearers can guarantee, is that when they step onto the pitch wearing their boots they get noticed.

Nike seem to save their most eccentric and eye-catching colour schemes for the Mercurial Vapor Superfly, which is perhaps one of the reasons they have such a cult following! The new Nike Mercurial Superfly III football boots have picked up where the previous versions left off...making headlines! Whether it's Cristiano Ronaldo or Neymar, the Superfly's have their reputation because they are designed for speed.

Super light and super strong, the new Superfly III soccer shoes are set to take the spotlight and ignite the boot world once again, in a time when it seems the rivalry between adidas and Nike has never been fiercer. This bold eye-catching new colourway, looks to be the perfect colour combination for the Brazilian duo of Robinho and Neymar.

The asymmetric lightning bolt on the new Mercurial Vapor Superfly III is slightly toned down, in that it's coloured Volt to matches the majority colour of these boots. The heel area and instep are coloured Retro, and the overall design is to put players in the spotlight. The lightning bolt graphic doesn't just look cool; they have also been designed to serve a purpose.

The pattern and colours are formatted in a way to enhance visibility to your team-mates and everyone else! Ultimately, the new pattern is designed to allow a sides 'play-maker' to spot you quicker and increase his decision making time. The aim is to create a faster pass rate to strikers and wingers. The idea is simple; get noticed, fast. In Nike's words, "The result will be better passes, fewer offside’s and less time for defenders to react.''

Many of the same features that Nike introduced in the Superfly II football boots remain. For a start, the boots still tip the scales at 210g. One of the Superfly's main features, the unique adaptive traction system, still features in the Superfly III football boots. The two Nike Sense studs that extend into softer ground are designed to deliver extra grip and enhance agility.

Every technical design element on the sole-unit is constructed to offer superior traction and acceleration. The unique Vapor traction pattern and direct inject dual density heel studs gives rock-steady stability and explosive acceleration. Whereas other boots look to gain speed through minimum weight, the Superfly III is all about accelerating you to your top speed as quick as possible.

The upper of the Nike Superfly III football boots is designed using a 3-layer upper construction. The top layer is made up of a teijin synthetic fibre skin. Underneath that layer is a Tejin micro-fibre substrate, which is engineered for the Flywire. The final layer is then made from a polyurethane lining. One of the most unique features of the Nike Superfly soccer shoes is the Flywire, used to provide ultra-lightweight dynamic support, whilst the Teijin synthetic maintains durability, improved fit, comfort and performance.
