International Debut for Orange Mercurials

This week's round of International matches may have received opposition from some, mainly because of their closeness to the new season kick-off. However, you wouldn't of heard anyone at the SoccerEquipmentToday complaining, especially when we found out we were going to see the Orange Mercurials debuted by Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Robinho...

The latest addition to the Mercurial range, we've been waiting in anticipation of seeing Cristiano and co. taking to the field wearing the new Orange Superfly football boots. And what a start it was for the boots as all three players - Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Robinho - were on the scoresheet!

For Nike and the Mercurial range it couldn't have got any better for Cristiano Ronaldo, as he scored one of his trademark freekick's after adopting his iconic stance. And let's not forget Cristiano is one of the main instigators for the almost cult-like following the Mercurial range now enjoys.

What a way to kick-off a new campaign, it's almost like stepping back in time to when CR7 took Nike to a whole new level in 2008. Debuting the bright Orange Peel Vapor IV, Ronaldo scored his first hat-trick for Manchester United in a 6-0 thrashing of Newcastle. The United winger promoted mass hysteria around the boot, with demand sky-rocketing. Within a matter of weeks, it seemed like every player was wearing the Orange Mercurials.

It's great to see arguably the most iconic Nike Mercurial colourway returning to football pitches across the globe for the 2011/12 season, and this was certainly the case in Germany who were playing host to Brazil.

Leading the attacking line for Brazil was Robinho and Neymar, a sensational pairing both playing in the Orange Nike Mercurial Vapor Superfly III football boots. To personify what the Mercurial range is about you need look no further than these two; speed, flair, skill and goals, they've got it all and they duly obliged with a goal each from their new footwear.
